Her body was discovered Saturday morning at a home in Wausau after officers were sent to conduct a welfare check, Wausau Police Capt. Ben Graham said.
The welfare check was prompted by possible suicidal statements by Pacholke, Graham said. “Foul play is not suspected,” he said.
“Sometimes you just don’t know what people are going through, no matter how much you think you know someone. … My sister had access to every resource you could imagine. She was loved by everybody. She was so good at her job.”
In a story, the station added, “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out. You are not alone and there are many resources available you can find here.”

The cause of death was suicide, her sister confirmed to the Tampa Bay Times. She was engaged to be married, the newspaper reported.
Pacholke was engaged to marry fiance Kyle Haase on October 12, 2022.
The television station cited mental health in its story but stopped short of revealing the cause of death. According to NYTimes, Pacholke was found dead at her home.
“We are absolutely devastated to share with you all that Neena passed away suddenly. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts,” WAOW-TV wrote on Facebook.
Her older sister, Kaitlynn Pacholke, an assistant basketball coach at the University of Southern Mississippi, did not respond to requests for comment. She said on Twitter that she had lost her “27-year-long best friend.”
