A Florida rapper known as “Expert NH” is blamed for killing a pregnant lady before her young child three days after a jury vindicated him on a different twofold homicide allegation.
The suspect, Billy Bennett Adams III, 25, asserted he shot 22-year-old Alana Sims with good reason, Tampa Police said after he was captured Wednesday.
Sims, who might have turned 23 Feb. 13, was five months pregnant when she was gunned down Jan. 30 on a private road, where police tracked down her body close to her SUV with her resting baby inside.
Three days sooner — on Jan. 27 — a jury in Hillsborough Province, Florida, found Adams acted with good reason when he lethally shot Trevon Albury and Daniel Thompson at a keep studio in November 2020.
“Only a brief time after he was vindicated of a different wrongdoing, our crime suspect did the unfathomable when he killed a blameless lady and her unborn youngster,” Break Tampa Police Boss Lee Bercaw said in an explanation.

“I trust this capture carries a conclusion to the casualty’s family, who is grieving the deficiency of two friends and family. We are working with the Express Lawyer’s Office to guarantee the suspect is indicted to the furthest reaches of the law.”
Sims’ mom told FOX13 Tampa her son was her daughter’s “everything.”
“She shouldn’t have to die young,” said Sims’ mom, who described her daughter as “a lovable soul.”
“And everybody should know that, you know, your loved ones, you want to keep them close because you just don’t know.”

The victim and suspect knew each other, according to police, and Adams was charged with first-degree murder and killing an unborn child by injury to mother.
Adams claimed Sims pulled a gun on him, and he accidentally shot her during the struggle for the weapon, according to court documents.
During the double murder trial, prosecutors painted Adams as a cold-blooded killer, but the Tampa rapper took the stand during his trial and said he feared for his life during the fight at the Lutz, Florida, recording studio.
