WWE’s famous ‘Tough Enough’ show winner Sara Lee died at the age of 30. Her mother announces her death on Thursday. It was confirmed in an emotional Facebook post.
Her mother’s statement on social media, “It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus,” she wrote on Thursday.
“We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers, especially Cory and her children.”
She competed on ‘Tough Enough’ during the show’s sixth season back in 2015. She was lauded for her strength and outlasted all of the other females in the program to earn a one-year contract from the WWE.
Though she won Tough Enough in 2015, Lee was released by WWE in 2016. She then married former WWE and NXT wrestler Cory Weston in 2017.
Lee posted on Instagram on Tuesday, celebrating “finally being healthy enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row” after being sidelined by her “first-ever sinus infection.”
She also posted a gym selfie on her Instagram page earlier this week, writing in the caption, “Celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row first ever sinus infection kicked my butt.”
