Maryland Mass Shooting Body – Worn Camera Video Footage – 3 People Dead

A Gun Man opened fire at a business in western Maryland on Thursday. There are 3 people dead before the suspect and a state trooper were wounded in a shootout.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office confirms deputies responded to the shooting at Columbia Machine in the 12900 block of Bikle Road, near Smithsburg High and Middle Schools, around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police also said three victims were found dead at Columbia Machine Inc. in Smithsburg. The suspect then fled in a vehicle and was tracked down by Maryland.

There are found four victims who had been shot. Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the fourth victim was critically injured.

The suspect and a trooper were wounded in an exchange of gunfire, the sheriff’s office said. Both were being treated for their wounds.

News photographs showed a large law enforcement presence, including emergency vehicles, at the scene.

Smithsburg, a community of nearly 3,000 people, is about 75 miles northwest of Baltimore not far from the Maryland line with Pennsylvania.

Police said the suspect and an MSP trooper exchanged gun fire, and both were injured during the shootings. The trooper and the suspect have both been taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said he has been briefed on the shooting. The governor said he was not sure of the condition of the shooter or the trooper.

The ATF and FBI offices in Baltimore posted on Twitter that they are assisting the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with the shooting.
