“Three civilians – two adults and one juvenile – were shot.
One police officer was also shot. The police officer and two victims are recovering at a hospital. One victim, the juvenile, it appears is deceased at this point,” Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert J. Contee said.
There are four people were shot at a Moechella event, including one police officer, who did not return fire at the crowded area.
The shooting was preceded by two earlier incidents that caused panic and trampling at the concert.
Hundred people gathering to hear music played from a truck on a street sidewalk, DC Police Chief Robert Contee told reporters at a news conference.
The shooting took place during Moechella, which is described as an “Advocacy Festival Amplifying the Culture of Washington DC,” Fox News reported.
