Popular Rapper Young Dolph died in a fatal shooting in Memphis, Tennessee, on Wednesday. He died at the age of 36. This information confirms by Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “CJ” Davis. The scene of the shooting was on November 17, 2021.
He went to buy cookies at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis. There someone drove up and shot him. The gun was senseless violence. Our hearts go out to the Thornton family and all who are affected by this horrific act of violence,” Davis said.

Memphis leaders call for a city-wide curfew
Memphis police have encouraged Memphis citizens to stay calm. They said, “Tonight we strongly encourage everyone to stay home if you do not have to be out,” Davis said at a press conference Wednesday. “We also strongly encourage everyone to remain calm as we actively perform our investigation.”
The Memphis Police Department is working to find out the cause of his death and who killed him. Memphis police Davis also said that “We are committed to working with the community to stop the senseless murders,” Davis said. “We’re also dedicated to bringing those responsible for today’s shooting and others to justice.”
