Lil Keed was an American rapper. He has died at the age of 24-year-old.

He was born on March 16, 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, the artist briefly worked at Subway and McDonald’s during his teenage years before breaking into the music industry.

When he was just 14, he started making music with his younger brother Semaja Render, posting the songs online.

He was then signed to Young Thug’s record label, YSL Records, as well as 300 Entertainment.

The rapper, from Atlanta, whose real name is Raqhid Render, had worked with Travis Scott, Young Thug and Chris Brown on his last album Trapped on Cleveland 3 in 2020.

The rapper’s brother, Lil Gotit, first shared an Instagram story in which he tagged Lil Keed and wrote the message: “Why bro, why u leave me bro,” followed by lots of crying emojis.

His brother confirmed the news, writing: ‘Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.’ (sic)

According to his Instagram story, Lil Keed had been due to perform in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday.

Rapper Taylor Bennett paid tribute to Lil Keed in an Instagram post, saying: “I want us all to pay respect. It’s hard to give flowers when people are alive and I’m guilty.

“Keed you are the new sound of music surpassing hip hop and all genres.”

Artist Lil CeeKay also took to Instagram to pay tribute, calling him “an incredible father.”
